🎭 Widespot Performing Arts Center stopped by Midwest Access to talk about the kickoff to their 17th season — and there is a LOT happening in Wabasha on Saturday, September 19!
🎤 Their season opens with a little Nashville (by way of Minnesota) flair as The Voice alum Cory Kennedy takes the WideSpot stage for a special benefit concert presented by Interstate Building Supply of Wabasha. And Wabasha clearly knows a good show when it sees one because... IT'S SOLD OUT! 👏👏👏
But the concert is only part of the story!
The WideSpot also has its fundraising auction LIVE ONLINE NOW, with some pretty incredible items up for grabs — including a trip to Florida! 🌴☀️ Plus, food trucks will be part of the fun next Saturday.
We love seeing one of our local arts organizations getting some regional airtime and sharing what makes the Wabasha arts scene so special. ❤️

There are moments in a community that deserve to be remembered, and today was one of them.
This morning, our community gathered at Veterans Memorial Park for the dedication of the new female Marine statue, honoring the women who have served — and continue to serve — our country in the United States military.
It was an emotional and incredibly meaningful ceremony, made even more powerful by the many women veterans who were there in person today. Seeing them gathered together, representing different generations and experiences of service, was a beautiful reminder of exactly why this addition to Veterans Memorial Park matters.
For generations, women have answered the call to serve our country. Today, their service, courage and sacrifice gained a permanent place of recognition in the heart of Wabasha. ❤️🤍💙
Our sincere thanks to the Wabasha American Legion Auxiliary Unit 50 for donating this beautiful statue, to SVJ Creative Designs for creating it, and to everyone whose work and dedication continue to make Veteran’s Park such a special place in our community.
And most importantly, to the women who have worn the uniform: thank you for your service. May every woman veteran who visits this park see herself represented, honored and remembered here.
