One of the things we love most about the Wabasha-Kellogg area is having incredible outdoor recreation right in our backyard. From the Mississippi River Backwaters to Lake Pepin, there’s always another reason to grab a rod and see what’s biting!
And when you’re heading out, it sure is nice to have a local bait shop that can HOOK YOU UP (literally)! 🎣😉
A River Valley Outfitters customer recently shared an awesome catfish catch from Lake Pepin with a simple message: “Thanks for the bait!” We’d say the bait did its job! 😂👏

We’re proud to share this touching News 8 Now / News 8000 story featuring a very special project created by SVJ Creative Designs.
The new “A Place for Angels” memorial in Chaseburg, Wisconsin, was created as a peaceful place for families to remember children who left this world too soon. At the heart of the memorial stands a beautiful statue of an angel holding the hands of a young boy and girl—created by SVJ Creative Designs.
The memorial currently honors 158 young lives and was made possible through an incredible outpouring of community donations, volunteer work and people sharing their talents to help bring a meaningful vision to life.
We love seeing the talent of our Chamber members represented throughout our region, but it is especially meaningful when their work becomes part of something that will bring comfort to families for generations to come. ❤️

🦅 Wabasha’s eagle country is making headlines!
KIMT News 3 is highlighting the National Eagle Center’s 2026–2027 field trip season, with 13 guided wildlife excursions planned right here in the Driftless Area!
These small-group, safari-style adventures take guests beyond the Center and into prime viewing areas to search for Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, tundra swans and migrating waterfowl alongside an expert naturalist.
The season kicks off Saturday, October 17, with a special focus on tundra swans and fall migration—and winter brings even more opportunities to experience why Wabasha is such an incredible destination for eagle watching. 🦅🍂❄️
With just eight seats on the Eagle Shuttle, these are truly up-close, personalized experiences—and seating is limited!
