There's something truly special about seeing the City of Wabasha, MN inspire art that reaches the world. ❤️🧵
Internationally acclaimed quilt artist Victoria Findlay Wolfe Quilts recently shared how some of her most treasured memories—and many of her award-winning quilts—were inspired by childhood visits to her grandparents in Wabasha.
From walks through their beautiful gardens to crossing the Wabasha Bridge over the Mississippi River (just for the fun of going from Minnesota to Wisconsin and back again!), those memories have become stunning works of art that will be featured at the 2026 The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show this September.
One of the featured quilts, The River, celebrates the iconic Wabasha Bridge, while others reflect the love, warmth, and family traditions she experienced right here in our community.
It's a wonderful reminder that the places we call home leave lasting impressions—and that the beauty of the Wabasha-Kellogg Area continues to inspire creativity for generations.
