Wabasha-Kellogg School District #811 Elementary has been named the 2025-2026 Minnesota School of Excellence by the Minnesota Elementary School Principals` Association - MESPA! 🙌✨

This prestigious honor is awarded to only a select group of schools that commit one to two years of research and self-reflection to strengthen their school culture, programs, and student experience. This is the first time our district has received this honor, and we couldn’t be prouder. 💙❤️

Principal Dan Murtha shared, “I think there’s definitely a lot of pride in the school and in the community.” Staff and teachers echoed that pride, celebrating the teamwork, mental health supports, early childhood education, and community generosity that made this achievement possible.

👏 Congratulations to the entire Wabasha-Kellogg staff, students, and families for showing that striving for excellence runs deep here at home. You make our community proud!
